One Tree Equals Three Trees
This is Fruitycake. Time and circumstance befall us all. That’s what I have heard. And even if you’re as big and as tall as a tree, leave it to me, you aren’t immune to collapsing.

Boy Person and I have been walking the path back and forth to our little house by ourselves for weeks now. It’s been hard. Difficult. Some days, it actually seems impossible.
But while we were thinking that things were pretty tough, well, something else happened. A tree fell right on the path. And I mean a very big tree. So big that it had its own zip code.

Boy Person and I couldn’t even get by. And so it was either we climb up above it and go thru the blackberry bushes to get down the mountain or we gave up.

We decided to give it a try. And it was not easy. We realized that the path may have been difficult before, but now? Real difficult.

While we were trying to decide what to do, we came back to find that two more trees had fallen. You see, the big one fell into two smaller ones, although not small themselves. Now, a difficult path had become impossible without a lot of work from Boy Person, a chainsaw that is on its last leg, and fuel down that mountain.

It will take us a week to get this cleared for Girl Person to come home next week. And a situation that seemed overwhelming to us last week looks like a piece of cake…or pizza…now.

If we would have had our eyes open to the stability or lack of stability in these trees before, maybe we would’ve been prepared. Maybe we could have taken action. Well, not me. I can’t operate a chainsaw with paws.

One problem that is manageable in life can turn into many…three trees to be exact, if it’s not dealt with.

So if you’re putting off a problem that seems impossible to solve, recognize it. Start with one small step while you can! You don’t have to move three fallen trees like Boy Person this week, so be happy! You can do it!

One tree equals three trees with time. So get ahead. Be thankful for your situation today. And hey…consider it a privilege to yell “timber” and stand back! You’ve got this!
