This is Fruitycake. Here at the rustico, I wish for love, good food, good walks and adventures each day.
It’s an all you can live it up buffet here for me. And I wish that for everyone.
Sure, my life could always be better. I find nothing wrong in saying that. Because you should always try to improve your life. You should always want just a little more of what makes you happy.

Yes, be content for the moment. But always wish for improvement. I think that’s ok.

Life should be an all you live it up buffet. We deserve it. All of us.
Even the one who took the spinach off of the farm.

I don’t say “my spinach” or “my farm.” I also don’t say the culprit stole my spinach. And there’s a reason. Even though I have to admit, we were pretty close to tears when we saw the spinach was mostly eaten overnight, we also thought about it. We thought about it rationally and calmly. And with love.

Someone was hungry and decided to eat the spinach. Maybe they made a spinach salad. Or a spinach soufflé. Maybe they used it for a pizza topping. I hope so. I really do. But the truth is, if it was hungry, it got to eat. And that’s a privilege we had to feed it. You know what? The earth doesn’t give us things and say we can only take so much. It gives us blessings freely. Without reservation. No limits. We should be like that.

If we only give to others what we don’t want, we hurt ourselves. Because the true meaning and I mean true meaning of life is found in giving love. AND receiving love.

That one who ate the spinach received our love with the spinach.

Can we think about who needs some of our spinach today?

Hmmm. I could use some pizza with spinach. Any ideas?
