This is Fruitycake. Have you ever went to a crowded place? Sometimes I wonder why that happens. The earth is a real big place. It has a lot of amazing places. So why does everyone try to go at one time to one place?
Doesn’t matter how much a dog knows, persons will do what persons do. They may see one another like something. And then, just like that, someone posts a picture or video and they all go.
That’s what happened to us this weekend. We went to a place called the Cinque Terre.
And I can’t even explain the amount of persons trying to walk in one place.
They worked so hard just to wait to lines and they filled in the spaces with gelato and complaining. Now here is what I know. There’s a lot of persons trying to be happy and searching for something different. There’s a lot of persons who want more in life. But not all persons fit in the same boat. Some liked the place and didn’t mind the crowds. But some, like us, decided we could better spend our precious time in a place not all wanted to go.
A place not many make an effort to come to. And just because we don’t like what would fit in a guidebook, that doesn’t make it any less special. It’s smoother sailing for us in our boat.
Never think what you like is less because no one else likes it.
It’s easy to doubt what you feel is right in your heart when others can’t see it. Don’t do that. What you like and enjoy and what inspires you is what makes you special.
And special isn’t about following the crowds. It’s about being in a boat that goes somewhere just for you.
Not everyone fits in the same boat. And I’m glad we don’t. Recognize your value and your purpose. And keep on sailing!
