How Many Drops, Did You Say?
This is Fruitycake. The rain is pouring down now as Girl Person types this blog for me.

We knew the rain was coming and it’s been a long night and we have a long day ahead of us.
It’s not easy when it rains here. There is no rest that usually comes with rain. No big couch or big blankets.

No TV and no sleeping. Our entertainment is trying to keep the rain out. Our entertainment is hoping that the weather people were wrong when they said it was going to be an “event.” The only event I want here is pizza delivery but I always have to tip the persons for that.

But the trick around here is not focusing on what others predict. Because we have found it’s most certainly always wrong up here on the mountain. This is a unique place and they can’t quite predict what will happen. They do try though. How many drops of rain did you say? You just can’t predict that.

That’s what I told Girl Person she needs to remember when she hears or reads negative opinions from people on what we are try to do here. Some are downright mean. Some are discouraging. Some are simply not worth reading. But they stick in her mind like mud.

But only each of us know our circumstances and what we go thru. It’s simply the most unkind thing to do to add to the bucket of negativity when someone and everyone for that matter is just trying to survive. Literally. Surviving.

So for us today, it’s getting thru the rain. Raining water and raining opinions. If we are to make any progress here, we have to concentrate on our sunshiney intentions.

And we thank you for giving us the sun that makes the sunshiney.
How many drops of rain, did you say? Only as many as we allow. And we have towels and buckets ready. Stay out, rain!
