Now for the blog!
This is Fruitycake. I have a sense of smell like no other. No, it’s not like Digby’s sense of smell.
I heard my persons say that once he got a sniff of any other animal, all he could do was follow his nose. He didn’t hear you or see you or anyone. Not even if Bigfoot crossed his path would he stop trying to hunt.
And Brickle? He smelled all because he knew all. However, he couldn’t and wouldn’t be bothered with trivial dog matters. He had too much to do in all the universes at once.
But me? I look for clues most all of the time. When I smell a pig or an owl or any other thing I want to bark at, that’s what I do. I have a farm here now, after all. Fruit’s clues is what I have to look for. Clues that we can get this work done each day and keep going forward. And clues as to how i can motivate my persons to do what we need to do. Each and all the days.
Yesterday, my clue was the rain. It poured down with a fury like hot marinara. But me? I was thirsty and I wanted a drink. My persons didn’t think I would go outside in the rain.
But I figured that since rain was Fruit’s clue for the day, I would use it!
That’s what I do! I showed them that if I could go outside in the rain, so could they. They could make it thru this rainy season if we all worked together. And so they took that clue, a most important one, and went to work.
We pulled weeds and surveyed the crops. Our flowers that make saffron popped up.
And so have the peppers and more tomatoes and pumpkins.
Fruit’s clues are meant to be full of fruit. That nothing is impossible if you look for the clues that you can do it.
And I know we can, because if a dog can be a farmer, we can surely feed our purpose here!
There is a lot to be done. More roadblocks and papers to shuffle. But now is the time to embrace the clues that tell us we can! Fruit’s clues are worth looking for. And I’ll send some your way today too.
