Tip Me Over And Pour Me Out
This is Fruitycake. I wonder how many times I’ve said, “when it rains, it pours.” Actually, probably too many times than I can count on four paws.
But that’s really not true. It doesn’t always pour when it rains, unless you live in a forgotten house at the top of a mountain in this Italy place. Then yes. When it rains, it pours.
We had fixed all of the leaks we knew about the best that we could. If it had been pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce pouring into the house, I could have just opened my mouth wide open and took care of the problem. But alas, it was rain coming down off the mountain and thru the rocks and thru the house. That is no sauce I want.
The persons pulled together once again. I suppose when you have an emergency, that’s what you have to do unless you’re me. In my case, I kept dry and out of the way, which was my way of helping. I also waited on my omelette for breakfast which turned into lunch. So yes, we all did our part.

When there was a break in the rain, and the persons backs were about to break from sweeping out water for hours on end, we went outside to see the waterfall. And what a waterfall it was.

I find it amazing that a waterfall exists. Because without it, the water from above would have no place to go. And although it was scary to see, it was scarier to think of this land without it.

But our relief didn’t last long when there was loud rumbles and vibrations coming from the mountains. We all ducked for cover and we had to find out if we were in danger. Boy Person ran out, and Girl Person went to see if the Mama Mia rock had fallen down. Everything was ok. But our nerves weren’t.

Sometimes you can get to a tipping point, like where we are now. Right now. Can we do this project? Are we meant to do this? Are we strong enough and are we going to be able to accomplish what we need to for animals? Because without help from above, nothing is possible. But with help from above, everything is possible.

We have done all we can to get to this point. And even if some may not see it, the one above does. And he will help us to know on Tuesday when we have our appointment with authorities in Italy whether we can do what we want here. And yes, we will take that as our answer.

But here is the secret. We may be like a teapot full of doubt and exhaustion ready to tip. And if we can’t stay, that doesn’t mean we stop for animals. No. That will mean we maybe need to do it somewhere else. Or split our time. We don’t know. But we do know the answer will come so that we can make good on it purposes and promises. When it rains, it pours. It pours clarity sometimes. And we are ready. We leave for Genoa Monday. Stay tuned
