Ciao, Fear.

This is Fruitycake. How many times do you tell others hello each day? Here in this Italy place, they use the word ciao to say hello and goodbye. I like when there are less words to remember. And I also love this word! In fact, when anyone says it to us, I talk right back, and they think that’s adorable. I like that word too.

But Girl Person has started saying hello to fear. And at first, I thought that was kind of strange. Although I didn’t say it out loud like I do with ciao.

Hello to fear? Let me explain in my best, Fruity way. Girl Person has a lot of fears. And when I say a lot…I mean a lot. But one of the biggest ones is her fear of being judged. Her fear that other people won’t like her. And that’s she’s never good enough. Have you ever felt like that? I used to, but now, the person that I care about letting down the most is me.

Please help here

Because if I am happy with me, that’s what counts and what other people will see. I say hello to fear when I feel it and I let it know I see it. I then tell it to go away. And Girl Person has started doing the same.

Every day, when we walk down our path for the last year, Girl Person hopes no one will see her or talk to her.

Every dollar counts

Because she feels like they will think she is a bad person for not learning the language fast enough. She feels like they won’t like where she is from or how she looks. She feels and fears that they don’t wouldn’t like her. Ever. So her fear of being seen makes it worse. She can’t speak when she’s scared. She hides the real her. And she’s sick of it all. So now? She doesn’t deny she’s afraid, but she acknowledges the fears she has. Then, she says she is stronger and better than the fear. And she does her best. And that’s enough. Sometimes it is just a ciao. And I like that.

So we say hello and goodbye to fear each and every day to live. You can’t live and enjoy the world in fear. You just can’t. Stop being afraid. Sometimes, you are your biggest obstacle to the wonderful world that is around you, just waiting for you. Now…say ciao with me!

Please read…we have had little support and no growth this week

Imagine this…

A place that has daily, filmed rescue segments with interviews with rescues and shelters and wildlife officials all over the world.

A place that educates the world by means of social media and websites and resources on how people can make a difference for animals.

A resource of community where animal advocates can help each other.

A place where local foster dogs can have hiking days and rescue events.

A place where select volunteers can visit to help plant crops and resources to help others.

This is just the start.

A place called The 2 Traveling Dogs Oasis and Wildlife Sanctuary. Help us from the ground up today. We need you and we aren’t afraid to ask. It’s bigger than us and meant to be passed on to future generations to be preserved and continued.

Our goal, as it always has been wherever we roam is to show the life you can give to a rescue animal and live YOUR best life at the same time. We aim to Make Rescues The Breed Of Choice worldwide and it’s been our work since 2011 to showcase animal rescues, shelters and organizations around the globe making a difference. Fruitycake, I’m so glad that she has you. Give her extra love and kisses (if that’s your thing) and let her know that dogs ONLY REALLY LOVE GOOD PEOPLE. Also, here’s another great and easy word to say when you meet someone walking, whether you know them or not: SALVE. Pronounced SAHL-vay. Emphasis on SAHL, like the English word “salve” which is what you can put on a wound, or a wounded spirit, to help it feel better. Just a smile and a SAHL-vay and I hope it brightens your day and that of the person you say it to. It’s a pretty all-purpose word, not too formal and not too chatty. Just nice. Good luck!!! 😘😘😘😘
