This is Fruitycake. Have you ever got the zoomiea? Yea, yea. I know dogs get those.
But person zoomies? Maybe you get stir crazy! Like you want to go somewhere fun but you have to work.
Or you want to run around but you feel trapped in a body that won’t cooperate with your wishes. Brickle told me that’s how he used to feel and to be glad for every day of my youth. I don’t waste it.
So last night, I was feeling those zoomies. The freedom to run when I wanted to. And I wanted to. So Girl Person turned on the solar lights outside and stood at one end of my favorite spot to run down stairs. And I ran up and down many times barking. Not for anyone else but me. And it felt good and I didn’t feel guilty about the zoomies. You shouldn’t either.
Girl Person was awake most of the night worrying. Wondering how she can make a go of this in many ways. Wondering how her lifelong dreams of having an animal and wildlife sanctuary and teaching will happen. If it will at all. If she is strong enough and determined enough like the old her when nothing stood in the way of helping.
Even though others told her not to do it, she did it. She had those zoomies. And it only took one person to believe in her. Herself.
That’s the Girl Person I used to know.
And I’m trying to help her to see she’s still in there, somewhere.
If we made it to this Italy place, we can make it to her goals and her purpose for being on this planet. So how can I help you to remember the same? That you have a purpose here on this planet too.
I can remind you of what you’ve always known…what and who you were meant to help.
All of us are meant to contribute in a way to make things better, but some persons choose to ignore that and count on others. Count on yourself. Somebody that you used to know…you…is in there, just like Girl Person.
