The Much Better Days

This is Fruitycake. Some days are considered special. Like the day you were born or the day you were married or even the day that focaccia was invented.

Oh, that day was certainly special in my eyes and my mouth.

We’re sorry we’ve asked you a few times recently, but its Tuesday, April 21.. If 2 Traveling Dogs gives you $5 worth of joy, join the 2% who donate, whether it’s $5 one time or monthly.

But there is also the Much Better Days. Those days that came after something hard or sad. Those days that come after maybe being sick or down.  The Much Better Days are some of the most special days you can have! We had one of those yesterday.

It seemed like the sun was never going to come back.

Kind of like a forgotten memory of sunshiney. Everything was really getting to the persons.

So much so that they were thinking do throwing in the towel, but since we have no dry towels, that was impossible.

But then a miracle happened and the clouds parted, and although it wasn’t full sun, it sure was an improvement and one of those Much Better Days.

We all can have one of those…today, in fact.

There is something today that is Much Better than yesterday. And if you can’t see it, make it happen. Make some focaccia. See? Much better.

The moments we are about to give up may be because we see no other chance of it getting better.

But if there is a chance, and there always is, live for the Much Better Days. They may end up being the best.

Fruity, yesterday was one 9f those days that I wanted to throw in the towel. I would get done with the emails and Facebook posts and the day was 3/4 gone. I dragged my self to the store, got what I needed, came home and realized the day was shot. It seems I can only get one thing done each day. But I guess it’s better than ignoring stuff. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

  2. I feel many of us are in the about to throw in the towel phase but we essentially stand up & fight back out of it. It’s a surreal moment in time. Seeing you two keep going does shine a light on something better. When I can, I will support what you do. I hope enough others do so you can keep shining for those of us who need the distraction and glimpse into a different world.
