This is Fruitycake. Yesterday was a great day. Unless you were a ladder.
That’s right. We had a few jobs yesterday. The first job was to teach an English class.

The second job was to get foccocia.

And the most important job we had? To get on a few buses and trains and walk to a store that had a big enough ladder. That meant we had to go to a main city. And that meant a lot of work.

Boy Person really, really needed a ladder. He needed it to work on our house so we have heat and a roof.

He needed it so that he did not fall and would be safe. It wasn’t something that we wanted to get. But sometimes, you have to do the hard things to make things easier in the long run.
After a full day and many miles, many miles later, we made it home with our ladder. But we made sure to tell it that once it got up that path, it wasn’t coming back down. It would be up there for the long haul.

Because everything we take up this path has to be worth it. Has to be used. Has to to be important.
What is also important is the thoughts that we take into our minds. Once they are there, they affect us.
I wish that persons could see and appreciate different viewpoints. I wish that persons could understand that discussion is better than an argument. That talking is better than yelling. And that pizza is better than no pizza. It’s as simple as that sometimes.

What comes up doesn’t always come down. So be mindful of what you take into your mind and heart. Do the hard work of being positive. And climb that ladder to what’s important.
Don’t let anyone bring you down once you’re up there.
