This is Fruitycake. Ok. Or as the Italians say…ooookkkkaaaaayyy. I get it. The seasons are changing. It’s not summer anymore. Not even close. Yesterday, the wind blew in fast. And strong.

The persons have not been feeling good. At all. In fact, Girl Person is the sickest she has been in a very long time. But we have to have food. And supplies. And so we had to walk to town to get it and carry it back. But first, I asked to stop at my favorite gelato place. And I rarely, if ever, get told no. No was not heard this day.

Even though the persons say you can never be prepared for everything in life, and they get overwhelmed very easily, we need to get prepared like the ghiro did who has her babies upstairs in the window. She knew that she needed to protect them. And we have to follow her lead. Watching the animals can teach persons a lot. If they pay attention.

We have hot water now. And we are working on plumbing and getting a bed. Fancy isn’t what is needed. Necessities are needed. And the persons have to be careful not to get sick again. It’s not so easy to be sick and climb up and come a mountain to get what you need. I am sorry this blog is not very long. But Girl Person is having a hard time typing for me.

Life has a way of making you stronger or breaking you. And we just got here. We were allowed to stay. Miracles happened. And we have to be appreciative of that and work our hardest. We can do this. But first, gelato. You can’t say no.
