This is Digby Pancake. When was the last time you took off your leash? You know. That one you put on yourself.
Maybe you put on a leash to leash in your true feelings when they want to be heard.
Maybe you put on a leash when you think you aren’t strong enough to do what you have to do.
Maybe you put on a leash for your potential. Because you only know all of your thoughts and limitations and faults. So you think you can’t do whatever that is.
Well, I am telling you that you can never reach your full potential or capabilities if you have that leash on. It is not possible. It is restricting. It holds you back. You hold you back.
Although we love to travel, take hikes, and follow the rules about dogs wearing leashes, it sure is nice when we can take them off. We can run away…but we don’t. Because we don’t want to. But we have that choice. We also have the choice to roll in whatever we find without the persons knowing. But that’s our preference. And we delight in being able to exercise it.
Even though we have had a leash on for most of our lives, it finally felt good after all these years to be free sometimes. No matter how old you are, you can do the same. No matter how much you think you are stuck, you can do the same. No matter how tied up you are with the anxieties of life, try taking off your leash. And see who you really are if given the chance.
