Hot And Cold

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’ve heard persons say when the weather is hot, keep a cool mind. And when the weather is cold, keep a warm heart. Well. If I had a choice, I would be right in-between hot and cold. In perfect weather all of the time, on a beautiful beach soaking up the sun’s rays and dipping my paws in the cool ocean water all year round.

For Digby Pancake, the colder the better. We were so cold yesterday morning that I thought winter had arrived instead of fall. But Digby just jumped in that lake at camp like it was nothing! And he did it twice.

So cold weather? It makes Digby happy.

So I got to thinking. What makes some like hot weather and some like cold weather?

What makes some individuals love the mountains while some only love the ocean? What makes all of our personalities, likes and dislikes differ so much?

I suppose it’s because there is no one exactly like us. Not like you. Not like me.

Not even ones in our family are exactly like us. In fact, you may feel very different than your family about things. You may have different like and dislikes. And that’s ok too. You. Are. Fascinating.

So instead of wondering why some like it hot and some like it cold, why narrow down what you like and endeavor to get there and enjoy it?

I suppose that is why we love travel so much. You can travel until you find somewhere that makes you feel good.

You can travel when a place makes you feel bad and get away.

As you get older, you may find out that your likes aren’t exactly what you thought. But just like a leaf can change colors, you can too.

As you get older, you may learn so much about yourself that you aren’t exactly happy with yourself. Yes, that can happen. And I think that is why some don’t travel too. They are nervous to find out how much they really don’t know. They are nervous to find out how much they need to improve. But guess what? When you improve, your true potential comes out! Your inner personality…your likes and dislikes all have a chance to be used in the best way possible.
