What’s Love Got To Do With It?

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Sometimes, I get up and I look in the mirror as I always do.  And before I can go outside, I say to myself…self?  You look marvelous, darling.  Marvelous.

You must understand though the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react

But my morning today was rudely interrupted by the sounds of gagging.  And more gagging.  Then, I almost got stepped on by Girl Person catapulting herself out of bed towards the sound…which was Deputy Digby on the couch.  And you guessed it.  He wasn’t doing anything attractive.

You also probably guessed that Girl Person got to him too late.

It may seem to you that I’m acting confused
When you’re close to me
If I tend to look dazed I’ve read it someplace
I’ve got cause to be

You would have thought that in a RV, you could get to a throw up emergency as fast as you needed to.  However, Deputy Digby has two speeds.  One is complete and utter pause.  The other is complete and utter mayhem.  And the throw up won the mayhem speed.  It also caused Girl Person to try and put on clothes as fast as possible in order to avoid getting arrested and try to get him outside.  But then, just as the throw up came out, he let her know that the throw up emergency was just that.  Just a throw up emergency.  As she was trying to get on clothes, he went back to sleep, and Girl Person was just glad he was ok.  Love.  That’s love.  When you don’t even get mad at throw up.  All.  Over.  Your.  Couch.  Y’all. What does love got to with throw up?

What’s love got to do, got to do with it
What’s love but a second hand emotion

When you love someone so much, sometimes, you don’t even get mad at throw up or the occasional mistake.  Or the regular mistakes.  It is so easy to get irritated at the people and furkids closest to us.  Believe me.  It’s not that I like the fact that Digby stunk up the RV today, or that he caused Boy Person to have to do laundry for hours and not walk us as far.  I knew when he ate a pile of that sea grass that it wasn’t going to end well.

There’s a name for it
There’s a phrase that fits

But if we can’t look past other’s mistakes, how will they look past ours?  I am not saying I make mistakes.  Let’s not go that far.

I’ve been taking on a new direction
But I have to say
I’ve been thinking about my own protection
It scares me to feel this way oh oh oh

But I will tell you that the older me and Digby get, the more we appreciate the days we have together, and the days with the persons.  Some days lately we look for houses, some days the persons just work on that computer thing, and we lay in the sunshiney.  But no matter what, love is always there…on the days we all feel good, and on the days where some of us may feel bad.  Love isn’t just for the good days.  You have to work to find it on the bad days.  Even on throw up days when looking at yourself in the mirror is rudely interrupted.  By the way.  Anyone know where we can get this entire Big Blue Treat Wagon thru a car wash? And Digby’s mouth? Anyone have a mint the size of Texas?

Kali’s dog parent says…

I got Technyflex Canine in July. My dog Kali of 8 1/2 years old started limping. I know she is getting older. I decided to give this a try. She is now walking on all 4 legs and is super playful. She has been acting like a pup running and jumping. I can see that she feels so much better. I am a firm believer in this product. Thanks so much to 2 Traveling Dogs which is where I found out about Technyflex.
