You Can’t Carry Everyone Else’s Load

Fruitycake’s Wednesday Affirmation

You Can’t Carry Everyone Else’s Load

This is Fruitycake. I may be little, but I pay attention. Sometimes I see persons trying to carry everything. Their own worries, someone else’s problems, yesterday’s regrets, tomorrow’s fears, and even things that don’t belong to them at all. No wonder they get so tired.

If I tried to carry every stick I found on a walk, I wouldn’t get very far. Sometimes I have to leave one behind so I can keep moving. That doesn’t mean I don’t care. It just means I know my limits.

Persons often think that if they love someone enough, they have to carry their load too. But that’s not how strength works. You can stand beside someone. You can encourage them. You can pray for them. You can love them with your whole heart. But some loads were never meant for you to carry.

Ready for today’s affirmation? Say it out loud with me!

I will care deeply without carrying what is not mine to carry. I will help where I can, but I will not lose myself trying to hold the weight of everyone else’s world. Today, I choose healthy boundaries, peace, and the strength to carry only what belongs to me. By taking care of myself, I become better able to help others in the ways that truly matter.

Love,
Fruitycake 🐾
