Not Everything Is Possible

This is Fruitycake.  I hear persons say all the time that if you put your mind to something, anything is possible.  Well, that’s news to me.  I concentrated on making my tail a pizza slice and that didn’t happen.

The truth is, not everything is possible because sometimes it’s not.  Simple as that.  Some things we thought we could do in the past may not work out.  Even though we have tried our hardest.  And if we truly have tried our hardest, it is not the turn for regret. Or for hating ourselves.

For goodness sake, I can still get a pizza slice even if it’s not readily available as my tail. And anyway, can you imagine? I would have to keep growing it back. Some things weren’t meant to be possible.

Now, it’s time to say today’s affirmation with me out loud.

Today I accept that not everything is possible, and that is okay. I do not have to do everything, fix everything, or carry everything on my shoulders. Some doors will close, some dreams will change, and some paths will end. But that does not mean I have failed. It means I am learning where my energy is meant to go. I will focus on what I can do today, take the next step in front of me, and trust that letting go of the impossible makes room for what is possible. I am enough, I am doing enough, and I will keep moving forward with courage, hope, and grace

My persons made a video yesterday about why it’s not possible for us to stay here now.  And why we have to leave.  You can watch it here if you missed it.

This may not be possible now, but a new animal rescue project will be.  So like us, dorm get down on yourself at supposed failures.  Because your greatest win may be just around the corner.

P.S. If you would like to help my persons this weekend, we need to refill what we hope will be our final propane tank here at the rustico so we can have hot water for showers. Any extra support will also help with groceries, necessities, and Girl Person’s recovery as we work through this transition. Thank you for helping us keep moving forward, one day at a time.
