Less Is More

This is Fruitycake. What day is it? Usually I am not one for dates on a calendar. But I am counting. Because when Girl Person left on Friday for that Florida place, I knew the amount of days I had to be without her. And I have less now. That’s a good thing.

History. It’s what persons study about and read about. And I’m ready for this time to be history. For it all to be behind us. Now, let me tell you that Boy Person is doing an excellent job. He is singing.

And he is telling me jokes.

He’s also taking me on long walks.

He is doing all the things he can. But us three? We are a package deal. We belong together. And that’s why I will be patient so that Girl Person will be able to be with us again. I know she has to get better. And Wednesday is her surgery. I am worried. Yes. But I also am glad she’s getting help. We all need help sometimes. And my help is being a patient Bubbie. That’s what she calls me. And she is calling me every day. We will get thru this together.

Less is more, they say. And in this case, it’s true. She will have less pain after this.

And we will have more time together.

One thing we have all realized after this is that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world when you’re with the ones you love. And we are just trying to get past this to get on to better times.

If you are going thru something now that’s hard, you need a hug, don’t you? I just gave you one. I’m not saying a hug will make it better. But actually, maybe it will. Less stress, more hugs. Less pain, more love. Less days apart, more time together. Forever. That’s my goal. Some may say that’s unrealistic. I say you’ve never seen Fruity put his mind to something.

I’ve had enough of hard times and hardships. I’m putting my paws down to make some changes around here. And it’s time for less mess and less stress. Now. Let’s get Girl Person thru this week. She has a pre operation appointment today. And that means taxis and papers.
