Fruitycake’s Wednesday Affirmation, “I Won’t Feel Sorry For Myself”
This is Fruitycake. It’s so easy to get down. It’s even easier to feel sorry for yourself. I sure have felt like that! I thought I would never be safe or have a family. I felt so sorry for myself and wondered why I was born into that circumstance. I saw other dogs being walked by persons that loved them. And I felt like I just wasn’t meant to be loved. Have you ever felt sorry for yourself? I understand. But here’s what I have learned. When you feel sorry for yourself, that means you don’t think there’s a way out. When you feel sorry for yourself you feel like there’s no hope. And there is always hope. Always! So here is my affirmation today. And you say it out loud with me.
I won’t feel sorry for myself, no matter what I am going thru. I won’t feel sorry for myself no matter what problems or circumstances I face now. Because I am capable to change my life for the better. I will believe in hope. And when I wake up each day, I will make the decision to try. I will change my life. Because I use my energy, even if I take it hour by hour, to be happy. Feeling sorry for myself takes energy. And I’ll never do that again.
How do you feel now? Feeling sorry for ourselves or others means there is no hope. And there is always hope.
