Please don’t forget, because we want to make sure you know where to find us! January 1st, the daily blog will be on the Patreon platform at www.patreon.com/2travelingdogsrescue

Why the change? For 14 years, we have provided the blog. And we will not stop as long as we are able to give animals a voice! But in order to continue, we must have support. $5 a month is all we ask for. That’s 16 cents a day. Plus, you will also be able to listen to the blog each day as well, read by Girl Person and Fruitycake! Join us today that so you don’t miss one blog at www.patreon.com/2travelingdogsrescue
There Will Be No Singing In The Rain
This is Fruitycake. Some days, you throw a few temper tantrums. I know it’s shocking, but hey. Life happens. Rain happens.
And when it gets to a certain point, there will be no singing in the rain. At least not up here on this mountain in Italy.

When I say it rained all night and day and another night, I’m serious. There were so many things going wrong that my persons may have started crying. I’m not letting them know that I saw them doing such a thing. But I’ll tell you.

It’s one thing to sing in the rain and be optimistic. But sometimes you can’t. I am the happiest fellow around. But I sure do hate getting my paws wet. That being said, when it rains hard here, my favorite drinking stream appears.
So I really try and think of that when I’m stuck inside all day. But even that yesterday wasn’t doing the trick.

The persons kept working and trying. But by the end of the day, they were ready for a hot shower. The one that has been working good. The one that Boy Person carried a hundred pound bottle of propane for miles after missing a bus and then up the path. Yeah. They were ready for that shower. Except the shower said nope.

The shower said because you didn’t sing in the rain, now you can get a shower in it. Have fun with that. But they did not have fun with that. At all. Cold water and cold hearts, I tell you.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you have to wonder why. And be reminded of your “why”. That’s the only way to get thru if you’re going thru a hard time.
And I’m not gonna fruit coat it. We ARE struggling. We are going thru a rough patch.
I don’t know what will change. But something has to. We just are to that point.

Singing in the rain is not possible every day. So if you try your best, and you keep on keeping on, maybe it’s time to learn another song.

Or draw strength from the old tunes. What will you listen to? Only you can decide.
