It’s Typed Out For You

Thank you all for being here with us every weekday since 2011! We have made it our mission to “Make Rescues The Breed Of Choice” by giving animals a true voice. Help us continue our unique way of animal rescue here

This is Fruitycake. I’m not sure if I can fully convey this in words. But it sure is good to be home. It sure is.

We’ve had a very difficult few days. But you know what? I find it so interesting how difficult persons make their lives for no reason. They complain about tests when they are in school and homework.

Listen to today’s blog here!

And then, when they get older, they move more papers around and love to tell each other yes or no on those papers with signing their names and stamping things. They make up the things that make their lives difficult. But it is a game they keep having to play.

So you probably already read what happened at our appointment in this Italy place. The persons waited for hours and hours. And then they had to meet with people and officers in a room with a picture of a cat framed by his desk. Yeah. I would have been scared too. And when it all came down to an answer, they didn’t get the one they wanted. A no was the box checked. With a maybe box checked too. To come back in 3 weeks and get another person to file more papers that would take more months to come with waiting. Then, they were told not to worry because it would all work out. It just had to be done this way with papers and missing signatures and all the other stuff.

To say they were frustrated and tired would be like saying I tolerate pizza. A big understatement. They were exhausted. Because not only is this really hard work to fix this house and farm the land.

But the education center and wildlife sanctuary and animal rescue is so much work. And then papers? They don’t like papers. But then? Something happened after that appointment.

As the persons were walking back to the room we were staying in, Girl Person saw a store filled with one of her favorite things. Vintage typewriters. Hundreds of them. All different and all beautiful.

She remembered that before we got here, she had a dream and a picture in her mind of writing and working outside with Brickle by her feet using a vintage typewriter.

She remembered all the beautiful dreams she had of making it here with Brickle. And so the typewriters were a sign. It was typed out for her. She wasn’t going to give up this easy.

Yes, it was a shock to hear a no and a maybe and a don’t worry. But that is life made up by persons. Sometimes the so called nos can make us aware of what our heart wants and needs to do. What our purpose is, and the why. And it’s truly all typed out for us. So it’s time to get to work in all the ways. All the ways. Plans and goals and work for animals NOW.

Imagine this…

A place that has daily, filmed rescue segments with interviews with rescues and shelters and wildlife officials all over the world.

A place that educates the world by means of social media and websites and resources on how people can make a difference for animals.

A resource of community where animal advocates can help each other.

A place where local foster dogs can have hiking days and rescue events.

A place where select volunteers can visit to help plant crops and resources to help others.

Yes, we go back November 18. And then it will be months more of waiting. But we won’t wait to keep going. That makes no sense. We were meant to be here. And we will be. Typing that out now.
