Reaching For The Sun

This is Fruitycake. It’s been a bit challenging up here on the mountain lately. Rain. Cold. More rain. More cold.

Slipping. Sliding. Away.

There is no use worrying about tomorrow when you have enough problems each day. Sometimes, that is all you can deal with at one time.

So do you know what I do on those days? I start stretching. I start reaching for the sun.

The blog is only possible with your support here

Because stretching out towards something better is more productive than being sad.

Being sad is very hard to shake off. Even harder than the rain.

As happy as I am, I know that it’s hard for persons to be that way all of the time. But us dogs don’t have it perfect either.

We have our own problems in our mind. Each one us, animal or person.

Things that are hard for each one of us. Things that we have to talk ourselves into each day.

But if I can go out in the rain here today, you can deal with your rain too. And if for some reason, you have any left over sunshiney, help someone else reach for theirs.

Maybe if we all share today, the world will be just a little brighter.

Fruitycake

We cannot continue the blog or help animal shelters and rescues this month and this year without your support! Thank you for helping us to Make Rescues The Breed Of Choice HERE today!

The sun actually came out today here in Olympia, Washington! It always so cloudy and I never realized until I moved here how important the sun is to my wellbeing. So today, I am happy enough though I had to pay some bills. The sun is so good for all creatures.

  2. Hi there! It’s all how we look at things, do hard things when we have no choice. Thank you for the post. I’m sorry we can’t support you financially, but sending prayers as you go through this tough season and getting you house turned into a home.
Our daughter is a flight attendant and we can fly for free.
We would like to meet you and greet you by bringing a meal or going out for a meal.
We live in Atlanta. We lost our beloved Jasmine May 1st. She was 17 years and 3 months. We rescued her when she was about a year old. She would have loved the beach you take Fruity to.
Anyhow, with our flying benefits we plan to come to Italy in May.
    What do you think?
    With kindness,
    Patrice Taibi (and Tony)
