This is Fruitycake. You may wonder why I am on this blog again today. After all, I have already written one today. If you didn’t read it yet, you should get right on that. I work hard on them.
But today, when Girl Person and I were taking a walk in the rain, and trying to be positive, we had an idea. Well, mostly it was my idea.
You know what a happy fellow I am. And it’s because my life was saved. I’m no longer a stray dog. I’m no longer in a shelter with 600 dogs. I was saved. I was rescued.
I have a happy rescue story to tell. And hopefully, when I share my life and my story every day, I encourage others to rescue. Just like Brickle and Digby did.
But we want to do more this year. We want to include you on a project. Because we know you have a story to tell too. The story of how you rescued your dog or cat or any animal! And we want to encourage others by telling your story. Did you know you can save lives by your story too?
We would like to share little stories of your pet to our page. Along with our daily rescue posts from shelters and rescues, we think there is more room for happiness. More room for Fruitycake happiness and joy. And that’s where you come in.
When you have the time, send us an email to yourdogsdiner@gmail.com. It can be any story (with pic) of your rescue pet. How you found eacb other, a favorite food, anything happy! You can even mention the shelter. We will pick out a few posts a week to share to our pages! (Yes. We reach millions per day and that’s a lot of persons.)
We think this part of our daily work will be important and needed to fill social media with happy ways to save an animal’s life. But we need your stories to do it! If we pick you, we will inform you via email. Hopefully, we can get as many shared as we can this year and save more lives together!!
If I can be saved as a stray dog from the streets on Christmas Eve and end up being the voice for animal rescue, your pet and story can make a difference too! Are you in?! Let us know your thoughts!
