The Swing Of Things

This is Fruitycake. The swing of things. I don’t know if that is what we are getting in to.

But I do know that as hard as it is some days here, we can say that we do love it. Love it. That’s a big thing.

I can’t imagine that Brickle would have put forth so much effort into getting us here for no reason. He knew what it would mean to all of us.

He knew it was his last big job. And probably, one of his most important.

Because as much as he believed in animal rescue, he also knew that people need rescuing too. And that we have to…we have to help each other. It can truly mean our survival.

The swing of things. Some things we are getting routines in. Taking the trash down the mountain each day. Hiking each day again. I put my paw down about that.

The swing of things. We also are figuring how how to get supplies. And when to get them. We have figured out the bus schedule and trains.

And although we have so much more to learn, and will for many years to come, we take each day as it is. We may make mistakes with the language. Well. I don’t.

We may make mistakes with etiquette. Well, I don’t.

We may make mistakes even before we wake up by our mindset. But if we try, and try our best…truly our best, we will make Brickle proud.

We want him to have put forth all of that effort and selflessness for a reason. Not just now, but for many years to come.

The swing of things. Maybe you’ve been out of yours too. Maybe events in the world happening get you upset. Or cause you stress. But don’t let what you cannot control take away what you have worked for, or are working for now.

The swing of things. Let’s make Brickle proud together.
