But First…Spaghetti

This is Fruitycake. I am definitely on my own today with the blog. Even I can tell when Girl Person can’t do anymore. She reached her limit, and her foot did too, a few days ago. Walking at least 8-10 miles a day is rough. But carrying the weight of the world up the path and down the path and up the path again is even harder.

You see, I was prepared to be on that boat in the UK place by now. We were supposed to be out of this Italy place. We were trying to follow all of the laws. And the persons had no choice. Or so they thought. Because when people who love you, and prayers and prayers are said, miracles can happen. And they happened for us.

People here, including our teacher, a lawyer, a baker, and all of you helped us navigate the last week. The persons were devastated to be honest. We didn’t want to leave Brickle here and his house. We just now are being able to figure out some things. And leaving to go, even on a boat, didn’t seem right. And somehow, papers and papers and papers were shuffled and filed and copied and mailed. Two days of nonstop running, here and there and everywhere. And on the last hour…the very last hour…we didn’t know what would happen. And finally, we did it. But not just us. All of you. Brickle.

Words can’t describe the amazing race we’ve been on last week with school and tests, and this week, miles and miles in the pouring rain. But when your heart propels you forward, you can do anything. You can do the impossible with prayers and friends. Friends near and far who love you. Thank you.

We will have more to tell you, but Girl Person has a hurt foot and is sick. We need a day to rest and we hope that’s ok. We can stay. We can stay. We can stay at Brickle’s house. First thing we need to go? I think you know what Brickle would do. Spaghetti? Here. We. Come.

Fruitycake

We will be going into more detail the next few days on what happened, and more!!!! Stay tuned…

If you’d like to contribute to our continued project on Brickle’s house, or blog, you can do so here!

I’m so happy that you get to stay in Italy. I know it’s probably hard, but you need to take a few days for yourself to rest and recharge. You definitely don’t want to end up in the hospital very sick or from exhaustion. GP, please rest your foot so it doesn’t get worse. I hurt my foot about a year or so before the pandemic and ended up needing surgery to repair the tendon or ligament (I can’t remember which) in my ankle. I still occasionally have issues with it, and it’s during those times when I realize how much I depend on my feet to get around. Thinking of you, BP and Fruity. Stay safe and well.
