This is Fruitycake. I don’t like water. I really don’t like water. But most of all, I cannot stand puddles and rain. I don’t like them. At all.
So when we got caught in a rainstorm this morning on a path, and there was no shelter and nowhere else to go, well, we had to just keep walking. And just for your information, walking fast doesn’t help you to avoid the raindrops.

From the end of our path, and across the street, you can take another path to a place called Portofino in this Italy place.

A lot of people go there and like to take pictures and walk around and remark how pretty it is. I just know they have focaccia and they have gelato.

And that’s all I really need to know.

It was nice to walk there, but it was just me and Girl Person.

Boy Person is busy trying to work on the bathroom to get it functional for now. And he couldn’t go. Sìnce we were stuck inside all day yesterday, Girl Person said I needed to walk. And that’s how we got caught in that rain. It eventually stopped. But the tears for Girl Person didn’t. It was a rinse cycle in many ways.
You see, it’s the first walk we have taken together, just the two of us. Ever. We have always had Brickle or Boy Person.
And we said that we were missing two persons. And it was hard. But things that make you sad are harder than avoiding rain drops. You can’t help it sometimes. And sometimes, you just have to do what you have to do.

Girl Person said her sadness is no excuse to not give me the life I deserve individually. And she said that she’s been doing a lot of thinking. And that she has an idea. And idea to honor Brickle. And Digby. And a way to use our path and our house when it is in better shape to help others too. She said turning sadness and missing Brickle and Digby too is pushing her to make changes. And to use what we have to change life for others. The rinse cycle did us good this morning. It’s what we needed. Embrace the rain that enters your day today. And let it push you in a better direction for change. The rinse cycle.
