This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Another day is another gift. It’s a dirty gift around here at my house. But a gift nonetheless.

Another gift showed up for me a couple mornings ago. But Fruitycake tried to return that gift. The gift was a black eyed pea.
No. Not the kind that goes with cornbread real good. But a cat that her head (or his head, I don’t know), looks like a black eyed pea.
Yes. A cat showed up here. Way up the path. Way up the mountain. And she was just as surprised to see us as we were to see her. I’m not sure how we even got up here. I can’t imagine how she did. But she was here.

I smelled her. But it’s a bit hard for me to get up and down right now. Fruitycake has been trying to learn my jobs. And driving Girl Person crazy by following her around.

He thought his job was to scare the cat away. And didn’t ask for my advice before doing that. He succeeded. I don’t think a cat way up in the mountains is used to a Fruitycake being up here too. So she ran away.
She comes back now and then to survey the situation. But I don’t think she trusts us. Yet. Many years ago though, I remember a promise Girl Person made to me. She said that one day, when we got our own house without wheels, she would get me a cat. Was it coincidence that Black Eyed Pea shows up here? I don’t think so.
There are things that may be coincidence. But there are also things that are magic. And I choose to believe the magic in life.
I don’t know what the next few days or even hours will be made of. But I do know that I got to see my house. And my wish to have a cat at my house came true too. I hope Black Eyed Pea trusts us to come visit closer soon. But for now, I know she is there. And that’s magic enough for me, Black Eyed Pea.

I’m sure BEP will return if the Persons put out a little food for her. If she is homeless, she’s probably hungry, and maybe she even thought your house was her refuge. I could still be a refuge for her; Fruitycake just needs to help her feel safe and welcome
