The Opportunity

This is Brickle. I’m taking every opportunity I have right now to write the blog. Yesterday, I wasn’t able to. And Girl Person wasn’t able to either. We’ve had a few of those days over the years. I think it’s ok. I know it’s ok to not be ok.

We’ve only been at our house a few days. And it’s a lot to sort out for the persons. They are trying to get one room done a time.

And also make things more comfortable for me and Fruitycake. But it’s not easy to find supplies here or find supplies as fast as you can other places. They also are learning the language and the ways of doing things. So when Girl Person walked miles to pick up a package she needed, and it wasn’t there, she didn’t get upset. She just got focaccia.

The persons know that I know my time here at my house won’t be a long time. But it’s ok. I enjoyed the long journey. Oh, isn’t the journey the best part anyway?

Right now, the persons say if I enjoy something each day, like my prosciutto or my dog bones or laying in my dirt just staring at my house, that is special.

I’ve always told you tomorrow is not guaranteed. Either is being with the ones we love.

I know that you’re worried about me. But my worry is that you’ll forget what this blog was started for.

I’ll take this opportunity to remind you that we wanted to show what a great life you can have when you rescue a dog. How a rescue can change your life. How you can live your best life together. That you never have to leave your dog behind to follow your dream. Even if that dream brings you to a forgotten house in Italy.

We are still working on getting all your special tiles you got for my house. Don’t worry. That’s a priority too. And we thank you.

I’ll take this opportunity to tell you I love you. More and more each day. This opportunity I won’t take for granted.

If you enjoy this blog each day, we thank you for your support here now, more than ever by purchasing a tile, or another tile for a rescue or shelter too!

Good morning. I have gone through similar situations with my 18 year old dog. Try a little pedialyte and baby food with safe ingredients or wet puppy food. I also found that too much cbd oil made my dog have balance issues, dizzy and hard to stand up and less able to control going to the bathroom when she took it. I had to lower the dose way down to an occasional micro dose .Just some thoughts on my own experience that I truly hope can be helpful.
