This is Girl Person. I wanted to take a moment today to acknowledge and thank everyone who has been positive and uplifting about our arrival to Italy and our little rescue house. It was a hard journey emotionally and it’s still hard now.

But Brickle got to see his house yesterday, even though we had to carry him most of the way. With a senior dog, every day is a gift. And we didn’t want to take the chance of putting it off one more day for him to see it.
We recognize the hard work ahead. And we are not afraid of hard work. We also thank those who have been concerned about the mold issue and Brickle’s comfort. Both are valid concerns. And we appreciate them.
Obviously, even though we have a different traveling lifestyle than most, some don’t understand our choice of adventure. That’s ok too. But one thing is for sure. We would never. Ever. Put our dogs in an unhealthy situation. Never. These issues will be addressed. These issues are the very first items on the list. We will be discussing and filming every step of the way. The clearing of the path. Brickle’s mobility options. Everything.
As well, we sold everything we own except for a few boxes of photos and sentimental items for us to buy this inexpensive home. We are writers for travel and social media consultants. We have jobs that enable us to work from anywhere. But we often work 20 hours out of every day. And if not for views of our videos, etc., this would not be possible. So we appreciate you watching. As well, we have companies lined up to help with supplies and tools for advertising on our end. I felt this needed to be explained.

No. This adventure would not be for everyone. This work would not be for everyone. But it is the path we have chosen. If you are entertained, etc., by our journey that means so much. But if it’s not for you, by all means, that is ok too. Family is family.
We waited a year to find the safe way to get Brickle here and we received a flight for me and the dogs. We realize the blessings with having a big following on social media. But we realize the responsibility too. Which is why we will continue to support animal rescues everywhere in the world.

As well, your purchase of pur presale books and merchandise is appreciated and acknowledged. I know timely fulfillment on these orders needs to be improved. Thank you for your patience. And I hope you enjoy what you receive.
Last of all, but always first, your love for Brickle is known. Seen. By us and Brickle. This we know. He is 15. He’s worked so hard for so many years entertaining others, writing a blog every day since 2011 and being the face of animal rescue and how a dog can change and save lives. He does need more care now. More supplies. More vet visits. And yes. Your support is what has kept him here by donations. We thank you. And every bit goes to Brickle. He still needs help. More every day.
If you would like to help you can do so here.
We’ve never done this alone. Every day you’ve been a part of our lives for over a decade. We hope you’ll continue to share our lives. Grazie.

I’m looking forward to watching your progress as you clean up and spruce up this long-neglected little “mini-villa.” Nate has some mad skills, as do you, and I can’t wait to see the end result. I’m sure you have a priority list of things to complete so you can live in the home. Mildew and dirt and repairing windows and doors come first, I know. Kitchen and bath next. And then the rest. I see remnants of so many different layers of paint on the stair risers. That’s gonna be fun. I know it’s gonna be work, but when it’s done, it will be stunning. I’m certain you two will make it so.
I am so happy you have reached your new home in Italy. I have followed you through all your travels since 2015. I can’t wait to see how you make your new home beautiful. It is already a very beautiful house and location. It will take a lot of work but I know you will do it. I can’t wait to watch your progress and I am here to give support through any difficulties. I can’t do so monetarily, but you have my love. You are all remarkable. Give Bricle and Gritycske hugs and kisses!❤️❤️🤗
You’re family and journey are inspiring. A follower since day one, I wish you all the very best! I cant wait to follow along on this next chapter! Keep smiling! Please give Peanut Butter Brickle and Fruitycake a big hug from the Martin’s in NJ!
When reading the comments, I thought that some were too critical of your choices. Some were actually harsh. Your life now would not be for me because of physical limitations brought on by disease. When I was younger I wanted to travel. I was alone raising two children by myself. I say go for it safely GP & BP. Make this home liveable as you age.
How long has it been empty? Sure hope you have a safe place to live while you work on your house, I know you will make it ook so good, just keep going a little at a time, don’t wear yourselves out. We’re all right there with you!
Will you be relinquishing your US citizenship?
No.
I’m so glad you all made it to the Italy place I’ve been watching and waiting for this minute. Give your boss a hug from me.
