This is Peanut Butter Brickle. What do you count down to? Maybe it was when you went to school and you couldn’t wait for that last bell to ring before summer vacation.
I haven’t been to school, except for obedience school, which I flunked out of. However, if I would have went to a person school, I can understand how you would get excited about that bell.
Maybe you have had a countdown to an exciting time in your life, like a wedding.
I would definitely have a peanut butter wedding cake if I got married.
But at my age, I am the new George Clooney since he is now married. Stand in line. It is a long one.
There are lots of countdowns. But this week, we are counting down to waterfalls. You see, Fruitycake The Raccoon has no idea what a waterfall is, or a creek.
He has no idea what a mountain is, or even that Cheerwine stuff that Girl Person likes. We will save that for her.
On Thursday, we are going to start heading out of this Florida place. It is too hot, too full of thunderstorms now, and Fruitycake isn’t doing well in the heat. I am not either. And the great thing about RV life is that you can move when you want to and when you need to. We want to. We need to. Although it is always hard to save good bye to family over and over again.
By the end of the weekend, we should be able to make it to that North Carolina place. The persons say that there are lots of waterfalls there that we have not seen yet, or visited with Digby.
It is kinda hard to visit places we did with Digby. So when we can visit somewhere new, that is what we want to do. And Fruitycake deserves that new excitement from us all that comes with learning about somewhere new.
First things first though. Today, Fruitycake has to go back to that vet person again. He is itching and scratching and pretty much miserable again. We haven’t figured out exactly what the problem is. So while we are here, we have to do a “Get Better Fruitycake” Countdown before the waterfall countdown.
You see, sometimes, you can’t just do what you want to at exactly when you want to. You have to prepare, you have to plan and you have to take care of things that maybe aren’t that exciting to get to the good parts. Kinda like a peanut butter sandwich. You have to eat thru the bread to get to the peanut butter. Bread is business and business is bread. Eat thru it to get to the yummy parts of life.
Don’t let it stop you.
Many persons like Girl Person find it hard to concentrate on one thing at a time. So having a countdown with a plan sure makes sense for us this week. While we are planning, if you have any waterfall suggestions, we would love to hear them. First part of the countdown? A peanut butter sandwich. That is how you know I mean business.
