This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle. I am happy to report that we have arrived in Massachusetts! I have not arrested it so far simply because I have not had the time.
Yesterday, before we left that Rhode Island place, we were taking a hike. We were deep into the woods when a muddy man hiker person in the mud called that he knew us from anywhere! Girl Person thought a moment…should she turn and run? Who was this man in the mud that knew us? But she thought that if she hiked deeper into the woods, it may be an issue, so maybe she should just go past this man in the mud. I was ready to arrest. Very ready. And as I neared this muddy man hiker person in the mud, I realized that he was ok. Girl Person was reading my reaction to him and asked him what he was doing. He said he was catching some type of fish or something. Digby then took it upon himself to eat his bait fish. Dead, old mackerel. Yep. Dead fish. He was nice and wished us a good trip, and we were on our way to the Massachusetts place.
So far, I like the area where we are staying in Cape Cod. It is called Falmouth and you guessed it. It is already leaning towards an arrest for having a foul mouth. Us dogs are very impressionable. Digby may be scarred for life.
So…what are we going to do this week? I bet a lot because this is an area that Girl Person in particular was very, very excited about visiting. A Florida girl like her didn’t get to this part of the country when she was a kid. So, yeah. If she is happy, we are happy, and that means better quality peanut butter cookies and pancakes.
We have a feeling that this week is going to be great, but on tuesdays we usually take a “break” to do laundry and set up camp and get ready for the days ahead. Plus on Wednesday, we visit our Massachusetts picked rescue, the Scituate Animal Shelter Of Massachusetts in Scituate. We are so glad they said we could come!
So, for today, Massachusetts is safe from arrest so far. But the day is not over.
