This is me…Fifi. I am twelve years old by person standards but as you can see, my beauty is timeless. So before you decide that twelve sounds like the ending of a story, I would very much like the opportunity to explain something. I am still here. Fifi is a real dog. This is a real photograph and a real story. She is really waiting at Panhandle Animal Welfare Society in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
That distinction matters more than ever.
We created This Is…Me because real rescue dogs are competing for attention online with AI-generated animals, stolen photographs, recycled posts and rescue stories that may have little or nothing to do with the animal pictured. When people stop knowing what to believe, the animals who can suffer most are the real ones sitting in shelters waiting for someone to notice them.
So we decided to do something about it.
With This Is…Me, 2 Traveling Dogs finds and verifies real rescue animals, researches their current information, tells the story of who they are beyond a kennel number and then shares them with our audience. Our goal is simple:
Seen. Believed. Rescued.
Fifi is exactly why this project exists. She is twelve years old. She arrived at PAWS on October 2, 2026. She is heartworm-positive, with treatment being covered by PAWS, and she needs someone to see more than her age or a medical notation on a shelter profile.
She needs someone to see Fifi.

Please include the animal’s name, photographs or original listing, location, shelter or rescue name, current adoption/contact information and, most importantly, something about who that animal really is beyond what is written on the kennel card. Tell us what makes them funny, special, ridiculous, loving or completely unforgettable.
There is no charge to shelters or rescues to submit an animal.
We’ll do our best to verify the information and help tell that animal’s story to our audience. That’s exactly why we created This Is…Me. Somewhere in a shelter today is another real dog waiting for a real person to notice.
