Don’t You Worry Bout’ A Thing

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Oh, what a week so far.  Do you ever wake up and think of all the things you have to do and just want to stay in bed?  Sometimes, we do.  Do you ever wonder if there is a full moon or something because everything and everyone seems to be just a little irritable?  Yeah, me too.

Yeah, everybody’s got a thing
But some don’t know how to handle it
Always reaching out in vain
Just taking the things not worth having but

And do you ever think that you can’t possibly do what you have to do that day?  Surprisingly, us too.  And yesterday seemed to get us a bit down with all of the rain in this Montana place.

Surprisingly, I am not immune to a bad hair day.  And when my hair is a mess, I am a mess.  And when Deputy Digby doesn’t get enough exercise because it is raining too much, actually…nothing happens.  He just goes to sleep.

I have found that sometimes, those weeks that nothing seems to go right is the time when you have a choice.  You can either wallow in the mud and rain, and complain about it.  Or you can play in the mud and rain and stop worrying about it.

As Sheriff, I have found out that worrying, well, it solves absolutely nothing.  Because if it did, I would be President by now and would be accomplishing huge things.  Huge.  Huge things.  But I am still a Sheriff.

Yesterday, we decided that instead of sitting inside the Big Blue Treat Wagon RV all day, that we would get in the car and just drive.  We came upon somewhere called a National Bison Range in Montana.

We have seen many animals on this trip.  And every one that we see, we appreciate.  It just amazes us that there are still places on this earth for the animals to live in peace.  And we love that.

I wouldn’t have thought when I got up that we would be driving thru a bison range. Often, some of our hardest days and weeks turn into something good.  But only if we let it happen.  Our biggest obstacle is ourself some days.

Come on, everybody needs a change
A chance to check out the new
But you’re the only one to sees
The changes you take yourself through
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

This trip may be hard.  This trip may have its bad days.

But even thru the rain, Montana, we still saw something yesterday that we may not have been able to see on a sunshiney day.  We have had to work a little harder to push ourselves.  We may have had to change our plans.  But those change in plans were worth it.

They say your style of life’s a drag
And that you must go other places
Just don’t you feel too bad

As our time in Montana draws to a close, we think of all the wonderful things we have been able to see.  We think of all the wonderful people and furkids we have met like Sway.

And we will remember those that saved his life at Animeals Food Bank in Missoula.

We will not remember the rain this week when we think of Montana.  We will remember the mountains, the vast empty spaces, the animals, the kindness shown to us.

And yes, we will remember the stupid hat that Girl Person made me wear.

Today, we start our trek to the #46 state on this Adventure Of A Lifetime! Here we come Washington!

A new state to visit means a new chance to make changes.  Because as we feel the tiredness and weariness setting on us, it is time to pull it together.  We have to finish. We have to do this. Are you with us?

Come on, everybody needs a change
A chance to check out the new
But you’re the only one to sees
The changes you take yourself through
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
