You Can’t Climb Without Taking A Break

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder that I’m not a real raccoon. I just look like a very cute one.

Yesterday, we decided to take a little trip to something called a lighthouse.

I have heard of these things. But I never imagined that it would be so tall!

I never imagined all the people who would want to see it and climb all of those stairs.

It’s just one of those things that take your breath away when you see it in person. Like me. Brickle told me to say that. I’m learning the ropes.

The persons took turns climbing it while Brickle and I had a snack and lounged around. They told us how many steps it was. And that it was a lot!

I had some time to think as they were climbing up the lighthouse. And I wondered if they realized how much it was like our life lately.

We do a lot of climbing. We go and go. And yet we don’t really ever stop. Life is like that for many persons. They keep climbing. Going. Trying to push as hard as they can. But little do they realize that you cannot climb 24 hours a day.

No matter what our goals are, we have to take breaks. We have to catch our breath. We have to stop and enjoy the view wherever we are in our journey.

Don’t underestimate the power of pacing yourself. To reach the top, yes, you have to keep going. But you also have to stop along the way!
