The Long Nights

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Persons say that time flies.

And they want time to slow down. But then, they go to sleep. That’s wasting time in my opinion.

So when I have my all nighters, I have to wonder what the big deal is. I mean, shouldn’t we want to be with the ones we love as much as possible?

I know that I am so handsome though that sometimes you can’t look at me directly for too long. It’s like the eclipse.

Yes, its true I get confused on what time it may be.

Or when I should be awake. Or asleep. Or eating. Or if I need to eat again.

But you know what? The long nights we can never get back. The long nights aren’t to be underrated. One day, all of us will wish for more long nights with the ones we love.

It’s easy for persons to concentrate on what they need to do. Work. Responsibilities. Balances in their bank accounts. Or none at all.

It’s true life puts many weights on us. Life tries to take us in many different directions.

But don’t let things that have no life and no feelings take away from the ones we love.

I may be older. I’ve always been wiser.

And I know, just like you do, time is short. So on the long nights, have a snack. A drink. A long talk.

Remember the time with a smile. Not a frown. Not regret. You’ll never get the long nights back.
