This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Does the week ahead seem impossible?  Do you have a lot to do?  Yeah, I know the feeling.  Being this handsome comes with a lot of responsibility.  When you look this good, persons expect that you can do anything.  You can get the job done.  Well, we have to move campsites today.  And well, some days I don’t want to move.  We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there.

But the Blue Ridge Parkway is not going to wait for no one. Actually, it does. I’m not sure it has anywhere to go.

Some might say we are crazy for taking the Big Blue Treat Wagon on another adventure. They say it can’t be done.  They say we won’t make the full length of the Blue Ridge Parkway, but I say we can we do it.  We can do this.  We will do this.

As long as we go slow, as long as we don’t overheat, as long as we fit under the tunnels and the bridges, as long as we don’t break down…so yeah.  We might not be able to do this.  Does anyone have a spare RV in case we need one?

You know, we have a few choices each day.  We can either do what we have always done. We all have to work and do stuff.  But what if we had a choice to take a chance and do something that we have always wanted to do?  It might not be the safe way to go.  But even if we don’t make it, trying can sure be fun too.  We don’t ever need to prove anything to anyone but ourselves.  What do you want to do?

Life’s road can lead us to many places.  Some places we don’t think that we want to visit, but when we get there, we find out it was waiting for us, like the Blue Ridge Parkway.

You see, we didn’t plan to travel all 469 miles this year in the Big Blue Treat Wagon RV.  But now, this may be one of our favorite trips.  The mountain air, the scenery, the look on Deputy Digby’s face when he gets to go on a new hike.  Yes.  It was a risk.  And it still is.  We have over 200 more miles to go.  And we may be trying to fight winter time.  And we may be trying to maneuver our way around a hurricane this week.  But we know that no matter what happens, if we have fun and entertain along the way, isn’t that what is the most important?

Life is not all about road trips like we are on.  Sometimes, that risk we are thinking about taking is opening our hearts to help someone, or go out of our comfort zone to learn about other places or people.  Sometimes it is about taking the load we are carrying on our shoulders from the past and leaving it somewhere.

But which way do you want to go?  Even if your journey seems like it would be long and it would be easier to sit still like I would like to today in Goose Point, Virginia, remember that another trek on life’s journey is waiting for you.

You might make mistakes.  People may laugh at you.  But laugh right along with them.  Because life can truly be entertaining.

Today, we try to make our way to Wilksboro, North Carolina.  We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there.  Let’s just hope the hitchhiker yellow jackets from last week are content to end their journey here.  We will see.  Stay tuned to our Facebook page for realtime updates today!
