But even when we think we are feeling confident, something can make us feel less than fabulous. We may think we have life all figured out. And then…
As we have been here at the campground and stables, I have started to second guess my animal magnetism.
The horses here are way bigger than me. They are very beautiful. And they are very graceful.

And it’s a sight to see when they are galloping back to their pastures in the evening.
I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror…and somehow…I didn’t seem as handsome. As debonair. As regal.
I kept comparing myself to the big dogs.
Digby Pancake didn’t seem to be affected by the big dogs in this way. He kept being cute. He ate that second and third treat. He didn’t particularly care to compare himself to the big dogs. He didn’t lose his confidence. But I was.
Available for a limited timeGirl Person always knows what I’m thinking. And she told me that the big dogs weren’t being beautiful or graceful to make me feel bad. They had every right to be the best they could be. But their best didn’t make my best any less.
Girl Person said others aren’t always as confident as what we think they are. She said we all have insecurities. Yes. Even if you are as handsome as me! I may be getting my mojo back.
We have to remember we are all the same when it comes down to it. None of us are more important than another individual, no matter what job you have or how you look. You’re not more important with a title. You’re not more important with beauty.
The big dogs are teaching us a lot this week. Just like all individuals we meet on the road!
There’s something to be said for balance. Balance in our confidence. Balance in our opinion of ourselves. And valuing others.
