Be Like Brickle
On July 29, 2024, we said goodbye to our best friend, Peanut Butter Brickle.
Many of you never met Brickle in person, but you loved him just the same. You followed his adventures, laughed at his quirks, celebrated his victories, and watched him show the world what a rescue dog could be.

Brickle wasn’t famous because he was perfect. He was loved because he was himself.

He taught us that every dog deserves a chance. He showed us that kindness matters. He reminded us to slow down, enjoy the simple things, and never underestimate the impact one rescue dog can have on the world…even 2❤️

This year, as we approach the anniversary of his passing, we want to honor him in the way he would have wanted—with action.
We’re launching Be Like Brickle, a campaign dedicated to helping rescue dogs and encouraging others to make rescues the breed of choice.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing adoptable dogs, rescue stories, and ways that every person can make a difference, whether through adoption, fostering, volunteering, donating, transporting, networking, or simply sharing a dog’s story.

This last week, Girl Person returned to the place where Brickle’s journey began, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, to spotlight dogs who are still waiting for their chance.
Because Brickle got his chance.
And because every dog deserves one.
