Sometimes All You Can Do Is Wait
Sometimes all you CAN do is wait. I hear that word a lot. Wait. Or, in Italian, they say aspetta. Wait, wait, and wait some more.
Yesterday, we had some persons come to look at the rustico. Everyone who visits here wants to make sure that they can do the work. That they can afford the work. So we have to wait for an answer. And it’s hard to wait when we are ready to make a change.
But sometimes, all you can do is wait. That is the only option that you have. And it’s the hardest thing to do. So if you’re waiting for something today too, it’s time for you to say today’s affirmation with me! Ready?
I will patiently wait for what is best for me. I won’t take any less than what I deserve in life. I know that rushing rarely brings the right things, so I will trust that what is meant for me will arrive at the right time. I am worthy of the wait when waiting brings what is meant for me. I will not lose hope just because I cannot see what is happening behind the scenes. Every day I wait, I am growing stronger, wiser, and more prepared for what is ahead. I will choose faith over fear and patience over frustration. When the wait is over, I will see that what comes was always meant for me. I will look back and understand that every delay had a purpose, every lesson made me stronger, and every moment of waiting helped lead me exactly where I was supposed to be. Today, I will wait with hope in my heart and peace in my soul.
I love you, dear friend. You were worth the wait to me to have you in my everyday life.
