Sunday Comfort From Girl Person
This is Girl Person.
One size fits all. This has never made sense to me—not in clothes and not in the one-size-fits-all approach to dealing with anxiety or life. All of us deal with grief, stress, and fear in different ways because we all have a unique experience of life from our very first day on earth.

Today is a hard day for me personally. I’ve wrestled all day with posting content and getting the blogs ready for tomorrow. I’ve been stuck. I can’t think about anything except the possibility of me coming back to Italy next week. I’m scared. I’m scared of everything—the immediate problems of going back, my health, and the uncertainty of where we will go next and when we can make those changes.
I miss my Fruity and Boy Person so bad. I keep thinking about our reunion. But then what?

I need comfort today. I do. And it won’t come from someone who understands because no one is in this exact situation.
Are you in need of comfort today?
I can’t say the exact thing you need to hear, and I can’t solve your problem. But I can tell you that I love you. I can urge you to gather your strength and keep fighting for the ones who love you and need you. And if you don’t have anyone in your physical presence today, I’m here on this earth, and I’m your friend.
We all can become downhearted. This site and platform are for animal rescue, but you are part of this project because it’s people who make the difference for animals. We have to look out for each other and be there for one another.
Brickle and Digby, and now Fruitycake, have been able to continue 2 Traveling Dogs because you have helped their persons with love, kindness, and compassion, along with contributions that have fed our bodies and hearts. Some days, we would have gone hungry. Some days, we would have given up.
You may not know it, but you are valuable to us.
So please take this Sunday comfort from a Girl Person who needed your comfort today. Somehow, it makes me feel needed to be able to offer encouragement.
I love you.
Thank you.
Girl Person
This season has been one of the hardest we’ve ever faced. Between my health challenges, being separated from Boy Person and Fruitycake, caring for Fruitycake’s medical needs, and trying to navigate what comes next for us, the strain has been overwhelming.
If these blogs, our rescue work, or the stories of Brickle, Digby, and Fruitycake have ever brought you comfort, hope, or a smile, and you’d like to help us continue, we would be deeply grateful.

Your support helps with Fruitycake’s food and veterinary care, fuel and supplies for the chainsaws and equipment needed to clear paths and the daily expenses that allow us to keep creating content and advocating for rescue animals.
Most of all, your support reminds us that we’re not alone.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in us. And thank you for helping us continue this mission when we need it most.
