15 Years of Rescue, One Critical Crossroad

This is Girl Person, and I have a reminder for you today:

You make a difference.

That may sound simple, but for us, it means everything.

We rely on our community not only to help animals directly, but also to help us discover new ways to save lives and support the people doing the hands-on work in shelters and rescues every day. No one can be everywhere at once, and that’s exactly why we need each other.

One person may be sharing an animal in need on social media while another is answering phones at a shelter. One person may be making a donation online while someone else is volunteering at an adoption event. Every role matters.

Without each one of us, animals would suffer, be overlooked, or be forgotten. And our mission to Make Rescues the Breed of Choice would be forgotten, too.

Thank you for helping us use the resources, relationships, and programs we’ve worked tirelessly to build over the last 15 years.

Today, we’re at a crossroads. We’re evaluating how—and if—we can continue this work in a way that is both financially and physically sustainable. With your support, we will have more options. And with more options, we can help more animals and save more lives.

We love and appreciate every one of you.
