The Fight Of The Flowers

This is Fruitycake. Persons love, love to fight. If they don’t, well, I wish that they would show us dogs otherwise.

The fights that persons have to go thru daily is unbelievable, but I believe it, because I see it.

Some fights are not of their making. Aging and time passing are two of those fights.

But they still try to fight them. Instead of enjoying the time they are in now, and the individuals they are with now, they dwell on the past. Secret? You’ll wish for this time one day too. And you will have wasted it.

There are good fights too in life though. The fight to make a perfect pizza. The fight to spoil your dog in all the ways possible. I like these fights.

And the fight of the flowers. That’s a good fight too. The daffodils here on our land are prime and seasoned fighters. But in the best way. The best way! They are popping up now…the dandelions here.

At a time when this winter monster is being the rudest monster, and dramatic, the dandelions are fighting to thrive again. You see, they never died. Even though they disappeared, they simply took a rest underground. They are programmed to pop up and thrive when we need to see them the most. Now. It’s not easy for them to pop up.

They have to fight thru the hard dirt, the mud, the leaves that cover them over. But they know their purpose and their path. They rise to the surface when it seems impossible. Just. Like. You. Just. Like. Us.

The winters of life can cause us to lose our strength. But not our fight. The good fight is continuing on the path we were meant to take. Like this blog. This blog is not by me. It comes thru me. Because it’s what I was meant to do. Me and my persons. For you. For animals. For wildlife. For the earth. For the future.

The fight of the flowers reminds us we can still do the hard things even if we’ve been the worst. When we feel like we’ve been buried, if we are still here, there is hope we can rise and bloom again. It’s time to rise.

We know many are not going to like the blog moving to a paid version. We do apologize but we also can’t work for free and it takes time and resources which we’ve used for years to do this. It is part of this new mission and purpose and a legacy started by Brickle and Digby. We hope you’ll embrace the change as a way to all stay together in a world that makes it hard to stay together. We are on one earth. Countries were started by men and those imaginary boundaries don’t need to be used to separate us. Let’s stick together and help animals in our one big world!

We also have a Patreon site for Under The Crow, which is what we named the property here in honor of the streams named as such and crows  that inhabit this area. On that Patreon, you’ll get first access to hidden documents and history and a big surprise for 2026. You can join that for $5 a month as well. We know you will love it.

Yes, this project has come at great cost to us. We miss the ones who have decided that helping others where they live is right. Because we believe we all can help each other in small ways that add up to big ones. And we hope you’ll continue to support this project and our goal to Make Rescues The Breed Of Choice in this new way.
