Let’s Try This Another Way

This is Fruitycake. If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. If you still don’t succeed over a year later, well, perhaps you should not keep trying that way. So. Let’s try this another way.

A big part of our difficulties here at the rustico and trying to accomplish the big things is the path up. Not only is it long when you’re trying to carry things, but it is steep in one part that makes it even harder.

So when Boy Person found a secret gate down by the stream, he knew that there was another way up here. What a find!

But as with all of the projects here, they take a bit of time. But it doesn’t take much time for the blackberry thorns and vines to entangle everywhere. It’s so hard to cut thru them. And with Boy Person’s hurt hand, it’s hard for him in that way too. But on with the show we go.

For days he has been trying to cut thru the vines and find steps up from the rustico down the mountain. It’s taken decades and decades to cover those steps with mud and more thorns. And finding the steps down to the gate is what we have to do. Even though it’s so hard now, in the long run, it would make getting supplies up easier. It would make the work faster. So we have to try.

Many times we can be set on how to solve a problem or situation.

It’s easier to keep going one way even if it just doesn’t lead us anywhere. But step back. Or step down from your know it all throne.

Because there is always, always another way. So let’s try.
