Please take a moment today to seriously consider joining our Patreon family for less than 16 cents a day. That is $5 a month. Your support is vital for this blog and wildlife and animal rescue project to continue in 2026. Over 4,000 free blogs since 2011, travel to the hundreds of shelters and rescues and outreach to save lives has been our pleasure. But without 200 Patreon members on each page, we will not be able to continue as is. Out of our millions of followers, we hope that you will consider keeping this blog continuing January 1st.

Where The Dirt Goes
This is Fruitycake. Many of us dogs are professionals. I bet you didn’t know this. But I don’t need a title to be an expert at many things. Dog is the best title to have.

But persons think they have to go to school for years and years to know what they need to know. Which is not a lot, in my opinion.

Now, I’m not being mean, because I am only mean when I bite pizza. Just giving you the dirt. Where the dirt is, the truth is.

Dirt. It’s something you may not think about each day. Because you step on it, you try to get it out of your clothes, and you generally may not be fond of it. I bet you’ve never dug a dirt hole though and slept in it. That’s life.

But even things like dirt make the earth function so you can live. I’m serious. And the dirt is disappearing. Me and Girl Person did a video on it yesterday.
Dirt. Where the dirt goes, life goes. If it’s gone, we can’t have food, and no pizza, and we are gone. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing is not needed that was created for our earth. Just like a family has different people who make it up, so does our earth. You have to appreciate each one.

Where the dirt goes is sometimes in your shoe or your clothes, and in our case, the bucket we wash clothes in. The dirt we slip on. The dirt the wild pigs throw around. Dirt is a mess. But without it, life would not be possible. Isn’t that a crazy thing to think about?

Being up here on the top of a mountain has caused us to see and notice many things we never would have.
And we hope that maybe in your busy life, you see and notice a part of the earth that is an ingredient for living!

You’re needed as much in my life as dirt, and I hope you know that.

And I hope you don’t mind if I visit and I track in some dirt. Just saying.

Please don’t forget that December 1 is Live Like Digby Day. What ways can we remember Digby Pancake? Deliver supplies and food to local shelters where you live, make pancakes for your dogs, and if you can donate to help us on this day to deliver goods to a shelter here and celebrate his life around the world, please consider a donation to the Live Like Digby Day Fund today. We are short on time to plan and make this happen! www.tinyurl.com/livelikedigbyday
