The More Of It
This is Fruitycake. There are some days that are considered special to persons. In that United States place today, it is one of those day. But did you know that dogs celebrate every day? If we had a calendar, and we don’t, just like we don’t have pants, you would see every day was a holiday!
So if you’re having good food today, or being with the ones you love or the ones that you try to love, like that second cousin from two states away with two cents to say about everything, you’re so fortunate. And I hope you can see that.
Up here on the mountain in this Italy place, we get lonely on days like this. Well, it’s been pretty lonely over all since Brickle passed if I’m being honest. And dogs are always honest.
But somehow on days like this, it makes you remember not only what you have but maybe what you don’t have. I get that. And even on holidays like today, there is more to the day than just celebrating or eating. The more of it is always worth considering.
Days like this aren’t just meant to be extravagant or plentiful. Days like this are about trying to brighten someone else’s day.
There is always more stuffing to pass. But don’t pass on showing kindness to someone on a very lonely day for them. More of kindness, more of celebrating the fact you are a person and have so many opportunities to make a difference. Us dogs can do a lot to make others happy. But you can too! I hope you see that.
Being thankful and grateful may be something you have to practice. The more of it is we all deserve happiness and abundance. No matter who we are! We are all the same. Born being worthy of what we need. There is nothing that can make you unworthy of love. Nothing.
So today, the more it it is looking beyond the day. But using it as a way of being better to others all the days. And better to yourself too.
