This is Fruitycake. I know that you’re here with me on the blog every single day. And you may think that you know everything there is about me.
My likes and dislikes. My reasons to bark or not to bark. What is a reason not to bark, though?

My persons are with me more than most other people. Ok. More than anyone.

But they’ve recently learned that I love fun music. Pop music and salsa and even the electric slide.
But don’t ask Girl Person to ever do a choreographed dance. She’s a good dancer but only to the beat of her own drum.

But you know what my favorite music is? Not the singing of Italian opera or even the most famous singers of all.

No, my favorite music is the music of the heart. When my persons sing to me or they dance for me or we dance and sing together. And they didn’t always sing to me, no. In fact, they didn’t sing much at all. It’s only since we got to this Italy place that they don’t care what they sound like, because I like it. Tune to the music of the heart channel and rip the knob off, I say.

If you’ve been with someone awhile, it’s easy to only notice what you know about them. Oh, but there is so much more! Because we all change and even find new likes and dislikes. It’s food to my soul how much I love my music. It makes me happy, even as happy as pizza. And that’s happy.

So, I say today, find something new about the ones you love the most. How do you do that?

First, you have to be yourself. Let your talent and love show thru. And when they see you, they will see the best parts of themselves and you will in fact, create beautiful music together in life.

Our rescue spotlight of the day is Linus!

“I am Jeannine. Linus is my buddy who was rescued outside of a nightclub. He was a teenager back then..11 years ago. Linus loves singing and no matter where he is, if I begin to sing he comes running and stares into my eyes. I named him Linus, because he is my security blanket. I have been in rescue all my life and have found many who were abandoned outdoors, alone & displaced, new homes. Linus is a Cat, but I started following 2 Traveling Dogs because I was very moved by the slogan, Make Rescues the Breed of Choice, and proceeded to fall for the whole family. I loved following your adventures and you have impacted my life greatly. I learned if you try hard, you can overcome struggles. You taught me that I can be brave.”
