Take A Ball, Leave A Ball

This is Fruitycake. I never knew the meaning of give and take until I was adopted.

My life was saved by numerous persons. One who found me on the streets Christmas Eve. One who took me in at the shelter. One person who took my picture at the shelter. And a family including my persons and Brickle (yes, he’s a person) who saved me.

That was a lot of taking that I took. I took help. And in turn, I have tried to be the best Fruitycake I can be.

And I try to be the face of animal rescue in the ways I know how. All the ways.

But we can’t just be kind one time or a few times or a few years. No, we have to try to continue to work on our kindness.

Sometimes we think we are too busy to he kind or we simply forget. So I decided to start giving back kindness at the beach.

I bring a few balls and leave them in a place other dogs can find them if their persons forget theirs.

That way, they don’t have to be disappointed. And my most favorite toy, the ball, gives me joy. But it gives me back double joy when I can share. Take a ball, leave a ball. That’s my mantra.

You see, we all take and take every day.

We live on this earth with so many blessings and miracles like sun and wind and the moon and flowers and everything good.

If we just take and don’t give back, how rude! We can’t be like that! I don’t want to be and I know you don’t either.

But those things ARE meant to be enjoyed. They are there for a reason. So leave something each day in return. Take a ball, leave a ball.

It’s cold here in this Italy places and yet, the farming doesn’t stop.

Because the days if doesn’t rain, we work by helping the land. We may take away weeds.

But we leave seeds. I just wish I knew where to find tennis ball seeds.

Fruitycake

This is Fruity. You make this project possible and the blog too. You even have put food on our little table. Thank you again. For those asking, we are in urgent need of two items. Donations are down and we understand. So work on the house inside has to be paused. But in order to keep our crops planted and land cleared, especially for safety, we have an urgent need for a wood chipper. As well, the persons are in need of orthopedic shoes to keep working. They are having a ruff time walking! So if you wish to help this week for those needs and yes, groceries, you can at www.tinyurl.com/2tdnecessitiesor Venmo travelingdogs2 or Zelle rachael@2travelingdogs.com

Grazie mille family!
