This is Fruitycake. Oh, it is true. You reap what you sow. Unless you’re Girl Person and you don’t understand how what you planted turns in to other things.
A few months ago, she thought that she planted just squash. But up from the ground came all different colors of squash and zucchini and melons.
Yeah. She forgot about all that and also the couple watermelons that appeared.

She told me that this weekend, we have a lot of planting to do. She said that since it is fall, we need to get some seeds in the ground.

But around here, we don’t just buy seeds. No. We buy the fruits and vegetables to get the seeds.
That way, we can eat what we buy too. Saves money and it’s fun too.

So our first business of the garden is to figure out what we want to plant. Here in this Italy place, when it comes to fruits and vegetables, you have a limited selection and only get what is in season. They don’t ship it from other places, or keep it in refrigerators. So you only get what is there.
It took a bit of getting used to, not having everything available to you all the time like in that United States place.
So I started thinking about it and I got a little worried. What if there isn’t pizza all of the time? What if there is a day here when it isn’t available? So I asked Girl Person to pick me up some pizza so that I could save the seeds from that. And so she not only brought home a big, funny looking pumpkin, but she got me a pizza.

Problem is, I ate the pizza and forgot to save the seeds. So now we just have pumpkin. Pumpkin means pizza, though, right? I mean, if I wish hard enough, maybe when she plants the pumpkin seeds, she will get other stuff too like she did before with the garden. Maybe the garden is magic,
in fact. Maybe, what you hope will grow comes up if you wish hard enough. My name is Fruity. So therefore, I just have extra gardening powers and wishes available. So I hereby say pumpkin means pizza. If you plant it, if you sow it, you will reap what you sow. Pizza, that is.
You may not believe in the power of wishes. But I think wishes are the most powerful parts of life and hope. When that’s all you have, and that’s how we feel right now, you cling on to it. You wish that your hard work pays off. And we do. Not for us, but for us to be able to make a difference.

Some only see where you are and not where you’re going. Some only see a seed and not a pizza. That’s ridiculous. Keep wishing. Keep working. And watch what can grow!
