The All Knowing Eye Tree

This blog has been a labor of love for us every weekday since 2011. Our goal is to give animals a voice and to encourage us all to make a difference for them together. This is Fruitycake. There are many watchful eyes here. You have my watchful eyes of course.

And you have the crows. They are always watching.

At night, the watching continues with the owls. They talk and hoot and scream and hoot some more. We aren’t alone here. Not even close.

Even the trees watch. And yet, there is one special tree. One very special tree on the path to our little house in the woods. It’s the All Knowing Eye Tree.

The All Knowing Eye Tree may not be a tall tree or a big tree in size. But the All Knowing Eye Tree doesn’t have to be. Because its main attribute is an eye right where it should be. An eye that can watch who goes to the little house.

You see, it’s right at the top of the path. After climbing and climbing thru mud and rocks and forest, you will see the tree if you look to your left.

You will feel the tree’s eye long before that, though. If you know, you know. And I know.

There have been many times by the time we get to that tree we are so tired we can barely walk another step.

There have been times when we think we may never see our little house. And the All Knowing Eye Tree knows this. It is there to watch us and to warn us that we cannot and will not give up. Not today. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow.

Because the All Knowing Eye Tree knows what the future holds and that we cannot give up. Because the land and the house and the animals need us. The All Knowing Eye Tree can see the future. Do we trust it? Do we trust its eye?

Sometimes we may be so tired and so exhausted. We may be in the middle of an adventure we didn’t expect to go on. And it may take someone in our life, like the All Knowing Eye Tree who can see our potential when we don’t.

We need the ones like the All Knowing Eye Tree now. Because although we have come a long way, we have a long way to go.

We need a watchful eye or many to help us navigate and find our way. It’s ok to say that. The All Knowing Eye Tree said so. And it speaks volumes with one eye.

If you need an All Knowing Eye Tree, I have a secret. You have one too. You just need to look around you. All around you. It is there. It wants to remind you that you can do anything. See it in your mind’s eye and find your way.
