This is Fruitycake. It’s Saturday and it’s the weekend. Usually, that means party time for persons. But for us, it’s supply day. We have already tried to get some heating fuel in one city and no one has it. So we have to take a train to another city. I haven’t even had breakfast yet. 

We are just so thankful that we have sunshiney. We feel like we haven’t seen the sun in days. Because we haven’t seen the sun in days. 

Today, we were going to get supplies for our bathroom to keep fixing it. But I don’t even need an inside bathrooms. So I’m not upset about that that we aren’t. Now we have to decide whether our budget allows for a house for the bats with no place to go or groceries for me. And I’m ok with the bats getting more. You know why? Brickle taught me that when we put others first, we will be taken care of. Not to be unkind to others to make life easier for us. Bats or broccoli? Obviously. Bats. 

It’s easy to be worried about the future. Any of us. But we just have to make it thru this day. We only have the present. And we have to be nice to ourselves. We moved to a different country. Brickle passed away. Winter came. And it has been hard. But we have only been here six months. That’s not a long time. And we will figure this all out soon. We will do this. 

Have you been not nice to yourself too? Our thoughts do matter. We all go thru hard times, but if we make the bats happy before eating broccoli, things will work out. If we try to improve ourselves or our situation, we will need confidence. We will need resolve. And positivity. I’m positive the bats need a place and it’s our responsibility to take care of the wildlife at our house. It’s for a bigger picture. We are painting it now.
