This is Fruity. What makes you feel like you? What makes you feel like the good times when you were a kid? Being a dog is kind of like being a kid.

But we never have to grow up.
No matter how old in years we get. I have a secret. You are still a kid too.
We may change in looks as we get older in years. The things we go thru, Brickle told me, are what ages us. The ones we lose, the bad things, the problems, the arguments. Those have a way of taking a toll.

But the good things can fight against the bad. Did you know that? If we try to fill our days with less stress and less judgement, a funny thing happens. We start to remember how we felt when we were our best. And I think you can feel that too. If you try.
The day after a holiday that persons see on a calendar can make us sad. We may look forward to something for a long time. And then, well, it’s over. But what if you didn’t only try to feel good or be good on a few days a year? What if you tried to be better to yourself? What would happen?
I haven’t wanted to worry you. Bit the last few days I’ve been very sick. Very sick. To where I was up all night.
And finally, finally, the persons figured out I was allergic to certain foods again. Including my allergy food. So we have to change it all again. And that’s ok. Because being good to yourself can sometimes mean recognizing when you don’t know it all. Recognizing we do the best we can with the information we have. And when we know better, we do better.
So if this year wasn’t all you wanted it to be, and if bad things happened, can we move it aside like old mashed potatoes?
Look around. See what and who is in your life. If they complain or they are mean, like my food has been to me the last few days, let them be that way. But you don’t have to take that in.
Be good to yourself. You deserve that.
